Macau has many interesting museums and the architecture in the old quarter is very European. Fernando's on the near the Westin was an excellent restaurant.

Stayed at  Kingsway Hotel - Macau, Macau.
Macau is actually very good for family relaxation holiday, we had great fun and purchased the Museum Plau package at $25.- for 6 museum in five days. Kids are having fun and enjoy Macau both the Museum and the food. Two couple and three kids ( 7 all together) were really happy about our holiday. We'll going again next Chinese New Year, but I'll book much earlier to seek for a better hotel and better package.

S Campbell 13 February 2002
Stayed at  Hyatt Regency Macau - Macau, Macau.
Macau is slowly being strangled by idiotic and half-arsed developers. The new Macau Tower is as incongrouous as you would expect from a huge concrete ugly sister of Toronto's CN Tower in a lovely quaint colonial backwater. Also some of the other developments have been abandoned leaving that building-site style Chinese cities seem so enamoured with. The food is still good, and the wine cheap and plentiful. The Wine Museum is great if you are an expert on Portugese wine, the Macau Grand Prix Museum is mildly diverting, but the best thing is just to wander the old backstreets, quiet and quite European.

Stayed at  Beverly Plaza Hotel - Macau, Macau.
Macau is definitely an interesting place with good food. Things are more leisurely as compared to Hongkong.

Stayed at  Mandarin Oriental Macau - Macau, Macau.
As we have visited Macau before we didn't spend a lot of time in Macau itself. We did, however, take a bus (no 21,21a or 25 from near the Lisboa) to Coloane Village where we found a relaxed atmosphere, a picturesque square to chill out and have a drink/meal and an excellent antiques shop called Asian Artefacts.
