Recommend Gandhi Restaurant in Little India, just around the corner from MRT Little India. Great food, served on banana leaf.

Plenty of eateries off North Bridge Road (City Hall MRT) - towards the direction of Middle Road. Try the soup restaurant on Seah Street, famous for their delicious "Samsui" chicken served with lettuce and special ginger sauce. Pub/Restaurants on Leang Siah street serves western sytle set meals at good value.

Good location. Kopitiam (food court) and 7 eleven just across the road. Orchard road and Parco Bugis Junction just within walking distance. No busy traffic like you find in Orchard road or China Town.

Lau Pasat excellent value and nice to eat sea food with locals. The Zoo is worth a good day out and the shopping is a must favouate mall is Suntec City next to the Oriental. Sentosa Island is begining to look a little tired and could do with a bit of investment. The City Tour bus from Suntec City offer a good orientation tour for a few dollars. Cabs are extremely cheap.

We used the MRT everywhere - apart from when completely exhausted, then the taxis were cheap and friendly. We visited everything there was to see. The temples were peaceful, beautiful, and tourist free - it was like another world. Singapore is the cleanest place on earth - even the public toilets in Chinatown were spotless. Recommend eating in the restaurants in Chinatown - food was terrific. Even eating from street vendors was safe and clean. Singapore people very friendly and go out of their way to help. The Japanese buffet at Suntec City is not to be missed. Also the bumboat tour from Clarke Quay was good (ALTHOUGH A BIT HARD ON THE BUM).

The Brazil Restaurant on 6th Ave. is worth the time to visit. The food is good but a bit pricy.

Location is ideal. Great World City shopping centre just across the road. The 'clubbing' night life is just across the river, 5 minutes walk. Be it city or river view the view from your room is fantastic. Cafe Brios serves a wonderful buffet. But it was the top-notch service from all hotel staff front-line & back office that was the most relaxing part of our stay.

Dining at the posh Raffles Grill was excellent. Be advised: A jacket is required and no sandals are permitted. Be sure to visit the Long Bar for the famous Singapore Sling! I'd also recommend the Sampler and Long Beer.
Raffles is located near the best places to visit in Singapore including Raffles City, the Chimes, Funan Shopping Mall and the Esplanade. You could walk to most of these locations from the hotel. You could also take a pedicab, but bargain with them as they can charge higher than a taxi for the same destination.

A couple of minutes walk away from the Marina Mandarin is Raffles Hotel. The sports bar is worth a visit for one drink, but it is expensive - personally we thought it was slightly over-rated but at least we can say we've been!
We had an excellent meal in the Blue Ginger - an Asian restaurant in Chinatown. They were recommended in the Rough Guide and frankly did not disappoint! The food was wonderful and costs pretty reasonable.
If you want a lively bar that caters for all music tastes, head to Zouk in the centre - it's huge and open til 3am.
