Stayed at San Lorenzo Hotel Madrid - Madrid, Spain.

Our favorite restaurant in Madrid, where we ate three times, is La Finca de Susana located at c/ Arlaban 4 (very close to Sevilla Metro stop). The dining room is lovely in architecture and decoration, the food is delicious (especially veg. tempura with YUMMY sauce), and the prices are shockingly low. We ordered a pesto pasta dish for 4.30 E, garden salad for 3.20 E, and small jar of house wine for 2.80 E.

Barcelona is a fantastic destination. There is so much to see and do - many museums, monuments, very nice parks, good restaurants. The train and bus systems are excellent - very easy to understand. The Gaudi structures are amazing - don't miss the Gaudi temple.

Stayed at Alhambra Palace - Granada & Province, Spain.
|
Grenada was great! One of our favorite destinations in Spain. Visited Capilla Real, Alhambra, Albaicin and Cathedral. Bib Rambla is a precious square in the middle of the city. The Arabic restaurants in Alaicin were excellent and provided a nice diversity to the Spanish food in the city.

Stayed at Barcelo Hotel Nervion - Bilbao, Spain.

Tapas are the thing, not so much the fancy restaurants. Walking is the perfect way to get around although the underground is efficient too. Itīs worthwhile to visit the outskirts of Bilbao by the coast.

Stayed at Maria Cristina - San Sebastian, Spain.
|
San Sebastian is a very clean city compared to other Spanish towns, however, the town is not as lively as southern spanish cities. The beaches are nice, but nothing outrageous. The Basque cuisine is one of the renowned foods in the world, and there are many great restaurants. Great seafoods and wines. Nice to visit for food, quiet vacation with a great food, but not recomended for people looking for Spanish style crazy partying. There are a few clubs and very clean and safe unlinke regular Spanish cities.
