M Lawson 01 January 2003
Stayed at  Tryp De Berne - Geneva, Switzerland.
Geneva is a really interesting city. Do not spend more than 3 days there on a holiday and make sure as it is not over Christmas or public holidays because just about everything you would want to see will be closed.

My favourite restaurant was a little French place right close to the train station. It has been there for hundreds on years and they server only one dish. Once you have tried it you will know why. Why mess with perfection.

We did some snow boarding in Verbier which you can get to by train from Geneva, and I would recommend doing. (It takes a couple of hours, but it would be better if you organised accommodation on the slopes).

The locals will generally speak to you if you need help but do not expect them to be overly friendly. The same goes for the tourist information board.

B How 01 July 2002
Stayed at  NH Luzern - Lucerne, Switzerland.
Travellers must be prepared that Switzerland is the most expensive country in Europe. Getting around is easy, and the ice-cream is good.

P Cooke 04 June 2002
Stayed at  Flora Lucerne - Lucerne, Switzerland.
The hotel was central for the station, lake and town centre. Very convienient to return to use the loo! We thought we would use a taxi when we arrived the cases were duly put in the cab The taxi driver then asked where to. He immediately took the cases out of the cab and said you do not need me the hotel is over the road. The hotel was about 1 minute away from lake, across the bridge were restaurants and town centre. How easy was that.

We had a 4 hour lake trip, also visited Mount Pilates and walked to Richard Wagners' property. We also visited Picasso museum and the Cathedral. All worth a visit.

H Cann 06 February 2002
Stayed at  St. Gotthard Zurich, Hotel - Zurich, Switzerland.
Ate in the hotel cafe - very good though not the lowest price.

A Goel 14 January 2002
Stayed at  Bristol Zurich - Zurich, Switzerland.
There are good restaurants in the vicinity of the hotel.

S Moore 07 December 2001
Stayed at  Park Inn Zurich Airport - Zurich, Switzerland.
The location is an ideal one for those coming and going at the airport. The only thing that wasn`t available at the Zurich location was a full scale restaurant for the dinner meal. A sandwich is alright for lunch, but a dinner menu is needed for the night meal.

D Carman 22 October 2001
Stayed at  Goldenes Schwert - Zurich, Switzerland.
Restaurant recommended by hotel receptionist was very good - Adler Hotel.

C Christie 28 August 2001
Stayed at  Windsor - Geneva, Switzerland.
if you need somewhere cheap to eat, we found a fab little cafe bar just a street down! (oposite the sex shop/club!) it sereved a plat d'jour, which was brilliant value for money and very tasty!
