J Hyvaoja 16 March 2003
Stayed at  Holiday Inn Golden Mile Hong Kong - Hong Kong, Hong Kong.
Location must be perfect for tourists as right downtown Kowloon on the bustling Nathan Road. Close to ferry terminals for various destinations. An abundance of restaurants close by. Airport express train terminal easy access with shuttle bus (f.o.c) or taxi (low fare). For business travellers, several much better choices are just around the corner.

Stayed at  Regal Airport Hotel - Hong Kong, Hong Kong.
HK airport is easy to get around and its very easy to get to the city. When you come through customs just go to the information desk and buy a return train ticket to the city, usually central station.

Stayed at  Wesley, The - Hong Kong, Hong Kong.
Took all major forms of public transportation as it was easy to get to from hotel location. Ate anywhere and everywhere depending on where we were at the time, and because most types of food was readily available.

Stayed at  Anne Black Guest House (YWCA) - Hong Kong, Hong Kong.
Traffic system is very good in Hong Kong.

Stayed at  New World Renaissance - Hong Kong, Hong Kong.
Hong Kong is a great city because it is so diverse...you can see very traditional, old style ways of life, or experience modern, fast-paced life just across the street. Hong Kong has great dining, and at very good prices.

Public transportation in Hong Kong, although quite crowded at times, was very fast and efficient. This was my second visit to Hong Kong. I hadn`t visited Victoria Peak the first time, but I did on this past visit. I would have to say that this is a MUST for any trip to Hong Kong! Go at night for an amazing dinner with an amazing view!

J Ratto-nielsen 11 March 2003
Stayed at  Ibis North Point - Hong Kong, Hong Kong.
Three days is OK to know the city and do some shopping. Transportation is very good, though unless you get an octopus prepaid card, you need to have exact change for the buses and the tranway which can be a hassle. For example, bus A11 to the Airport is 31.50 (exact fare).

C Berger 10 March 2003
Stayed at  Kowloon Hotel, The - Hong Kong, Hong Kong.
The hotel is right in the heart of Kowloon. The access to the main attractions is easy. The free shuttle-bus from Kowloon-Station is really a benefit (Take the K 3-Bus). Kowloon-Hotel is the first station. Takes only a few minutes.

R Buck 10 March 2003
Stayed at  Eaton Hotel - Hong Kong, Hong Kong.
Too crowded and too many people trying to get you to buy their wares. If they ever get the construction done it will be better. Also, you are taking your life into Gods hands when you ride in a taxi.

R Agrawal 10 March 2003
Stayed at  Mayfair Garden Hotel - Hong Kong, Hong Kong.
I was there for a day and a half but couldn't explore the whole city. Note that you will have to walk a lot in Hong Kong so wear comfortable walking shoes. If you know what to see and which places to visit and have planned ahead that's good, otherwise you will be better off taking a tour which will show you around in a short time.

G Tsai 09 March 2003
Stayed at  Garden View International House - Hong Kong, Hong Kong.
On our trip back to airport, we took a cab into central for HK$40, checked/forwarded our luggage in this down-town airport-rail express station. Was fancy free for the next four hours in this gigantic interconnected octopuss shopping plazas coupling high-end and bargain shopping through a walkway. Plush red couches for sipping coffee w/ free internet access at the Pacific Cafe, then haute-culture shopping ... across the walkway extremely well-priced consumer products, geared for HK's domestic aid's weekend shopping excursions. What a lovely parity of pleasure and savings.
