Bus stop near-by for going to the town center & other places of interest. Lot of local restautants around.

Stayed at  Hyatt Regency Macau - Macau, Macau.
LOTS OF RESTAURANTS IN TAIPA VILLAGE, A 15 MINUTE WALK FROM THE HYATT. HOWEVER, THE TOURIST MAP IS WRONG. WHEN YOU COME TO THE ROUNDABOUT ON DR. SUN YAT SEN, STAY TO YOUR RIGHT AND ASK DIRECTIONS AT THE VET'S OFFICE. HE'S AN AUSTRAILIAN. FERNANDO'S ON COLONAE IS GREAT. A BUS WILL COST YOU 5 PATACAS, A TAXI 45 ONE WAY. ALSO TRY CARLOS NEAR THE ART MUSEUM. THE OWNER SPEAKS ENGLISH. FOR BREAKFAST TRY BOLO OFF THE LEAL SENADO. TURN RIGHT AT MCDONALDS AND GO UP THE HILL, IT'S ON YOUR LEFT. GOOD VIEW FROM FORT AND LIGHTHOUSE. MARITIME MUSEUM IS GREAT. IT'S AN EASY WALK FROM LEAL SENADO AND TAKE THE BUS.

V Poh 26 October 2000
Stayed at  Lisboa Hotel - Macau, Macau.
The hotel is conveniently located to various places.

P Halloran 08 October 2000
Stayed at  Westin Resort Macau - Macau, Macau.
Had to wait for 30 minutes for hotel shuttle bus from ferry terminal. Restaraunt recommened by hotel staff was inexpensive and somewhat sub-standard for the food but close to 200 HKD RT for taxi which was disappointing. Based on my dining experience, I would suggest you get names from friends or give it a shot on your own - don't rely on the staff because your tastes may seriously vary from theirs.

T Tocknell 17 August 2000
Stayed at  Holiday Inn Macau - Macau, Macau.
The hotel arranged car hire for us through Avis. This was very useful and enabled us to see all the sights with ease.

Y Kinoshita 11 June 2000
Stayed at  Holiday Inn Macau - Macau, Macau.
I walked along the downtown in Macau. It's very convenient to take public buses which run all day long.

T Crosthwaite 04 June 2000
Stayed at  Hyatt Regency Macau - Macau, Macau.
Took taxis around, Fernando's restaurant on coloane is recommended.

B Jenkins 29 May 2000
Stayed at  Mandarin Oriental Macau - Macau, Macau.
The "Al Lochca" restaurant is great value and has excellent food. Macau Taxi drivers remain the worst in Asia for understanding English, so make sure you get directions in Cantonese.

G Kirchherr 28 May 2000
Stayed at  Westin Resort Macau - Macau, Macau.
Taxi rides into town can be expensive. This is where the ferry shuttle comes in useful - take it back and forth to the ferry terminal, and catch cabs from there. Must-sees are Leal Senado; the ruins of St. Paul's Cathedral; and Monte Fort, which also is the site of the museum.

B Samalova 22 December 1999
Stayed at  Holiday Inn Macau - Macau, Macau.
Good location near the center, not far from all the most visited attractions of Macau.
