Some recommended bars - Indochine along the river at Empress Place (there are also two others), and Alley Bar in Peranakan Place/Emerald Hill. The MRT is easy to figure out but it's not always easy to get a ticket if you don't have exact change. A bit frustrating actually. I did decide on this trip to get a prepaid phone card for my GSM phone and that was very handy - $15 for a card that lasts for 6 months.

Stayed at Banyan Tree Bintan - Bintan Island (Indonesia), Singapore.

The Kelong Restaurant about 10 minutes away is good value and relaxed ambiance.
The Bintan Island ferry service should add a few more ferries to the weekend schedule. Getting a ferry reservation at my desired time was quite difficult, and resulted in a lot of waiting around, both to check into the hotel and when departing Bintan.

Surely Mhd Sultan Area was one of the main attractions including The G@llery Evason. A bit of Orchard of course. Getting around was by car.

Definitely get an EZLink card, it makes travelling on the MRT and buses much easier. You need exact change for the buses (if you have too much, they keep it). Also, the card makes alighting the buses much faster.
The Chinese Junk Tour from Clifford Pier is definitely worth the money, as is a river tour. The restaurant at The Fullerton Hotel is very nice, but not very Asian. We found the best (and cheapest) food at hawker stands.

Although not the shopping mecca that it once was, Singapore is still a lot of fun. The MRT from Changi airport into the city has made any visit to the city very convenient. There are great variety in eateries and cuisines.

Images of Singapore at Sentosa offers a great history lesson about the city. Buses and the subway are very easy to navigate and taxis are relatively cheap.

The "skytrain" is cheap and you can access most places via it unless your feet and legs are only painted on. The Night-Safari is worth a look and you should double the amount of time that anyone tells you that you need to tour Sentosa island, allow a full day if you can.

Do not use the maxicab service; they charge 35 dollars from the airport to hotel whereas normal cab is 8 dollars! MRT servce fast, cheap and efficient no need to hire cabs all the time.

Clarke and Boat Quay are always nice to visit. You can take a walk around the area in the early evening and then have a nice dinner in one of the many restaurants.
I also recommend a dinner at Alkaff's Mansion.
If you have more time go to Sentosa go to underwater world and the dolphin show and stay until the evening time to see the musical fountain.
I also really liked the show in Bird's park.
Another great location to visit is the Singapore Zoo, where they also have some entertaining animal shows.
Going around in Singapore is very easy. Around the city center and along Orchard Road you best take the Subway.
Be careful in the evenings. It is almost impossible to get a taxi around 8-11pm.

The drawback to this was that it was quite far from the MRT.
