J Deranieri 24 July 2002
Stayed at  Crown Hotel at Orchard - Singapore, Singapore.
Singapore was a nice place to visit some of the best food I had in Asia, even the food courts at the mall offered excellent food. Good shopping, some interesting sites like like little India. Cruising the canals give you a good feel for the city and you can see some nice sites and you really can walk anywhere.

J Collins 22 July 2002
Stayed at  Furama RiverFront Singapore - Singapore, Singapore.
Indonesia Batam was great! 30 minute ferry boat ride! I didn't see the zoo, bird park, aquarium, or Sentosa Island. Nightclubs...Centro 360, The Liquid Room, Zouk, Black China, Orchard Towers, Loads of fun!!!

W Mackenzie 22 July 2002
Stayed at  Sheraton Towers Singapore - Singapore, Singapore.
Really enjoyed the night safari. Excellent taxi service with very friendly drivers.

M Short 21 July 2002
Stayed at  Robertson Quay Hotel - Singapore, Singapore.
Easy access to Clarke Quay over the road. Short walk to Fort Canning Park but MRT at Doby Gaut about 15 mins walk. Close to some good bars and restaurants. Singapore taxis are easy to pick up and quite inexpensive. Little India, Arab Street & Chinatown all great places to visit.

M Tobin 19 July 2002
Stayed at  Holiday Inn Park View, Singapore - Singapore, Singapore.
The restaurants nearby are OK and reasonable in price but quality does vary. Don't be dragged into the restaurant by the street touters, (thats Singapore) look at the menu and type of food you like. The Centrepoint food court nearby offers very cheap and fast "local" meals. $3-4 Sg. The MRT and bus system is great and very cheap. Taxis are OK too.

P Manning 19 July 2002
Stayed at  Orchard Hotel Singapore - Singapore, Singapore.
Excellent location for eating, shopping and nightlife.

A Glover 17 July 2002

M Joing 15 July 2002
Stayed at  Albert Court Hotel - Singapore, Singapore.
Singapore is a great city! The ethnic (and food) diversity, the cleanliness, and the friendly people. The East Coast Seafood complex is a must - we ate the best crab of our life at Jumbo Seafood. The Singapore Tourist board provides many maps and other helpful information (pick these up at the airport), including walking tours of Little India, Chinatown, and Colonial Singapore.

R Koudstaal 15 July 2002
Stayed at  Albert Court Hotel - Singapore, Singapore.
Excellent durian vendor in the street across the crossing; local indian breakfast in vegetarian restaurant across the main road; hotel not known to all taxi drivers

M Yukimasa 14 July 2002
Stayed at  New Park Hotel - Singapore, Singapore.
The location is not center of city area. However, the next goor is Mustafa Shopping Center and Indian street. Something mysterias zone.
