Z Abdoelkadir 31 March 2004
Stayed at  Navas - Granada & Province, Spain.
Visits: Alhambra, gypsy town, cathedral, shopping area. If you find a hotel around plaza nueva everything is on walking distance.

J Gardiner 16 February 2004
Stayed at  Parador - Barcelona Province, Spain.
Fly to Barcelona and hire a car. Tour historical Catalonia (Spain, Andorra and France) staying wherever you want - paradors, monasteries, French mountain inns, Catalan seaside villages etc. Fill the tank up in Andorra. Good time to visit is early spring lots of scenic snow and no crowds.

A Wigmore 11 December 2003
Stayed at  Ramblas Hotel - Barcelona, Spain.
By far the best way to get around Barcelona is by the Tour-Bus well worth the money and also the Metro. Be careful when choosing a restaurant, some can be very expensive but unfortunately the food does not match the price. Tapas bars are aplenty and on the whole good value

P Raty 07 July 2003
Stayed at  Barcelo Hotel Avenida - Bilbao, Spain.
Bilbao is worth a visit! We took the metro from Santutxu to the end station on line C, "Plentzia", which turned out to be a beautiful village on the sea. The metro line goes only partly underground, so it was great to see the beautiful houses and gardens under the journey. Coming back we went out at "Casco Viejo" and came to the beautiful Plaza de Unamuno in the very center of the old city. Of course, the most important thing to visit in Bilbao is Guggenheim, but don't forget the small villages outside the city center!

Y Bae 13 May 2003
Stayed at  Al-Andalus - Seville & Province, Spain.
I traveled to Rondo, Cordoba from this place. It takes about an hour by train to Cordoba and 3 hours by bus to Rondo. Bus station is easily reached by taxi for 5-6 Euros. For city transportation I used a bus ticket, which is valid for 10 rides and allows one transfer for each ride. Bus is quite crowded but frequent.

J Sipilä 04 April 2003
Stayed at  Barcelo Sants - Barcelona, Spain.
Sightseeing bus (EUR 15/day) stops right in front of the hotel.

D Steeg 01 April 2003
Stayed at  H10 Villa de la Reina - Madrid, Spain.
Corny as it is, the double decker bus tour is a cheap, great way to get around the city. My friend and I took advantage of the US$10 all day pass and went all over town sightseeing and shopping.
The Flamenco show at Cafe de Chinitas is a lot of fun.

K Damji & salima somji 23 March 2003
Stayed at  Barcelo Sants - Barcelona, Spain.
Barcelona is a fantastic destination. There is so much to see and do - many museums, monuments, very nice parks, good restaurants. The train and bus systems are excellent - very easy to understand. The Gaudi structures are amazing - don't miss the Gaudi temple.

J Yerman 27 September 2002
Stayed at  Cervantes, Hotel - Costa Del Sol, Spain.
Used car rental to get to Gibraltar, Grenada, Cordoba, Rhonda, and Marabella. Also took train to Madrid. Cab service in Malaga was a rip-off.

J Lee 19 September 2002
Stayed at  Montesol - Ibiza Island, Spain.
we went to amnesia for its last foam party of the year. they have foam (la espuma) parties every wed and sun night. there's a bus to the club from downtown ibiza. it's a $40 (!!!) cover charge but you can find coupons for $10-15 off on street corners. they don't "foam" until around 7:30 am, so if you're not up to partying all night, i'd suggest taking a taxi to the club around 5:30 or 6am.
