P Osterrieth 23 October 2000
Stayed at  Hyatt Regency Macau - Macau, Macau.
Taipa is great - Hong Kong with a Mediterranean flavour. I would certainly go back and stay longer.

D Cox 13 October 2000
Stayed at  Holiday Inn Macau - Macau, Macau.
Macau, despite its reputation is short of good western restaurants Try the Mandarin, Italian, good food but pricey. Walk around Macau and go to the Park and Museum, both are very interesting. Ignore the attitude of the Macanese, they are rude but better than Hong Kong.

R Burrows 11 October 2000
Stayed at  Kingsway Hotel - Macau, Macau.
Macau was lovely and 2 days was more than sufficient. We walked around the town, shopped, went to the temples, and tourist sites, and found a lovely restuarant with bargain meals in the centre. We also managed to take a bus to Lantau Island and to the beaches which was very relaxing.

M Curle 09 October 2000
Stayed at  Grandeur Hotel - Macau, Macau.
Good Portugese restaurants close by. Enjoyed the central square and surrounding area.

We loved Macau. Great antiques and furniture. Good values on shopping and clothing. Interesting historical sites and museums. We loved the Portuguese influence. Very colorful place.

Stayed at  Holiday Inn Macau - Macau, Macau.
I walked along the downtown in Macau. It's very convenient to take public buses which run all day long.

Stayed at  Westin Resort Macau - Macau, Macau.
Taxi rides into town can be expensive. This is where the ferry shuttle comes in useful - take it back and forth to the ferry terminal, and catch cabs from there. Must-sees are Leal Senado; the ruins of St. Paul's Cathedral; and Monte Fort, which also is the site of the museum.

T White 23 May 2000
Stayed at  Sintra Hotel - Macau, Macau.
The location was very good. Nice view. Went to Fernando's which was worth the trip.
