Should try the Tea houses in Wellington Rd ....a unique experience...
Forget abt Ladies Rd night market...the stalls there really practice "push" selling..VERY RUDE AND SNOBBISH at time...if u are lookin for clothes try the shops around in the shopping complexes , most have better quality stuffs and services with only a bit of price differences...
For quality and cheap fashion try the factories outlets..esp. Esprite outlet ...

For electronic goods and games go to the 'Fortress' on Nathan road. Its great for cheap games. The hotel is located in one of the most busiest place in HK. Accordingly traffic is a bit of nightmare during the day. Also avoid going during the monsoonal season as things can get pretty hot and humid.

Hong Kong is a interesting place to visit but sometimes it depends on with whom and with what kind of mode you visit...
Central and Causewaybay is the place for shopping...
If you come with girlfriends or for honeymoon...you must go to Tsim Sa Tsui...
Lantau Island and Cheong Chow is more nature and they have their own attractive point...it's great to go there...
Lastly...for those who like old stuff like Old Japanese Sword (World War II) and other things like Jade and old tea pot...don't forget to go to Mo Lo Street and Ladder Street!

I loved Hong Kong. It is as expensive as everyone says, but it was worth a visit. I loved it and I have plans to go back. I stayed in the Kowloon area at the Eaton Hotel. I was only in Hong Kong for two days but I was very impressed with their mass transit system. I took the train from the airport and the train got me to Kowloon in 20 minutes. Also they make it very easy when you're flying out of Hong Kong, as the Kowloon station has check in desks at the station. That's good because I wasn't looking forward to carrying my bags to the airport and I could avoid the long check in lines at the airport.
I found a great vegetarian restaurant in the Kowloon area. Unfortunately, I didn't take the time to write the name down. But if you walk north on Nathan road and turn left either on Cameron or Granville Road. On the next block you'll see a green sign advertising vegetarian food. There is a Body Shop on the same block. They had a great fried rice with seaweed and pine nut dish and some great vegetarian dim sum.
I also took a tour of the city. The tour group was the Splendid tour group. I took a morning cruise of Victoria Harbour and a Hong Kong Island tour in the afternoon. I had a great time and I was very pleased with my tour guide.

smoggy city which can at times spoil sightseeing.

sellers at Kowloon can be aggressive.
