There wasn't much to see in Chongqing, if not for the Three Gorges cruising. Despite being the largest city of China with 31 million population, the Chongqing airport is more backward than that of Porta Villarta Mexico (or even Yichang). We got in 8:00pm, expected to just hail a cab to the hotel but only to find ourselves, in the dark, pestered by a group of cab sharks. There is NO cab stand or any public transit facilities within visible distance.
My suggestion to the hotel and to your site is to give potential guests a heads-up of the situation and that pick-up service would be very useful.

An interesting city and a good starting point for a boat tour of the 3-Gorges. The Old Town is an interesting visit; good eating places.

Chongqing is absolutely a place to be for the next years. It is very useful to learn some main chinese words in advance since english speaking people are still rare.
The city is huge and you will not miss much there (maybe your orientation sometimes). Take a walk at the riversides in the evening and go to the Nan Shan Park to enjoy the view over the city at night. A visit to the DAZU ROCK CARVINGS in the area is a must.
Food is more spicy as in Shanghai and I have enjoyed a lot. Prices differ a lot within the city for food as well as for all the rest. Since taxis are available at every corner, just make sure that you have a card with the chinese address of your hotel with you and have a good time!

ChongQing has nice malls for walking, it's a bit hilly but quite modern for central China. Not too polluted either. Without much Mandarin language, it was difficult to book a standard (Chinese) non-cruise ferry to Yichang but we managed in the end. Look for the big booking office up some stairs just opposite and around the corner from dock 3.
