Stayed at Akzent Hotel Schranne - Rothenburg, Germany.

The best way to get around is to walk but stay together because it is easy to get lost. We found the wall walk great as well as the Christmas store and the Criminal Museum. There was lots more to see that we didn't have time for. The whole city is fascinating and well worth a visit.

The places around the hotel are very nice to walk around, nice shops and much more selection than the place I was, Hannover. I am a very frequent traveller to Hannover, but have unfortunately never visited Bremen. Next time I will go to visit Bremen with my family.

Hamburg city centre is walking distance away. Taxi to airport is ~ EUR 17.

Stayed at Regent International - Cologne, Germany.

We drove from Frankfurt International airport to Cologne. Not difficult to locate the hotel. We drove around mainly to visit the famous cathedral.
Parking at the road side is always a challenge for us as we are not sure how to get the parking ticket. Hence, we have to look for underground parking facilities.

Was a business trip, but lots of good restaurants nearby the hotel, just a short taxi ride away.

Stayed at Steigenberger Esprix Hotel Hahn Airport - Frankfurt-Hahn, Germany.

Trier has a lot of history, interesting architecture. Do try the frankfurters from the many vendors, they are great. Pubs a little bit cold - it seemed they didn´t care to serve foreigners - I suppose we should have learned the basic phrases before travelling!!!
If possible do visit the Casino in Kurhaus, Wiesbaden. It is magnificent.......

Stayed at Le Meridien Parkhotel - Frankfurt, Germany.

We were a little limited for time as we arrived at 4.30 pm on the Friday and were flying back to Scotland at 9.00 am on the Sunday, however, we did find time to see Sachsenhaussen which was absolutely gorgeous. The Irish pub O'Reillys was just round the corner and was opened till 4am Fri & Sat and we met many new friends, German, American and even Scottish!!
