Public transport is excellent (although Hong Kong residents probably complain!), cheap and reliable. Buy an Octopus card for speed, convenience and not having to carry change, and go upstairs on the trams.
The Concert Hall in the Cultural Centre is wonderful, small, but with great acoustics, a littler version of Birmingham's Symphony Hall.
The Museum Visitors' pass is very good value for people who like museums and galleries. The Art Museum is really interesting, and children should enjoy the Museum of History. Victoria Park is an oasis of quiet and greenery. The motor boat pool is strictly big boys' toys, but fun to watch. The Central Library is a very good library, with excellent facilities, and has interesting free exhibitions.

Lan Kwai Fong is the party district to go in Hong Kong. Partying starts on Thursday nites right up to Saturday nites...there are all types of bar and discos there with a good mix of people. There are many expats and foreigners, giving it an international and metropolitan atmosphere.

If you do nothing else whilst in Honk Kong you MUST put aside a day to just travel by tram. Get on and off as you wish and SEE the places the guides do not visit, you'll not regret it.

Cash minimuim amount at airport like $50, just for taxi from Kowloon or HK stations, you can charge octopus card to your credit card, my hotel had better exchange rate than the airport and hotels are known for generally having the
worst exchange rates. Limited public internet access.

The hotel's location was a little out of the way, for Hong Kong at least. It was easily accessible via the tram which isn't recommended during the hot weather.

I spent the time shopping and partying. Check out Alibi on Hollywood Road for good music and excellent margharitas.

It is not a bad hotel if travellers want to explore the interesting places in Happy Valley. There are many small but excellent restaurants in Happy Valley (frequently visited by Hong Kong movie stars). There is also a very big horse racing track in Happy Valley. Trams are the major means of transportation.

This was my first visit back to Hong Kong in 5 years. I used to live in HK 94 - 97. Still a great place. Nothing has changed except for the addition of a lot of buildings. Plenty of shopping, nightlife and a few things to see. The new Octopus cards for the MTR/Bus/Tram are great!

Plenty of buses and trams nearby. Make sure you have the exact fare for the bus; they don't give change! A 7-eleven and supermarket nearby too so that you're not raiding the mini-bar.

cabs are plentiful and inexpensive, if not travelling to far..transit system is very good also.. crowds are hard to handle during peak hours when travelling by transit.
