It´s far away frome the city but it´s a bus stop nearly. Pisa is beautiful and the bus is very cheap and stops many times in the center from Pisa.

Stayed at Hilton Rome Airport - Rome, Italy.

Rome was a fabulous destination. Loved every moment of being there. Stayed at the Golden House B&B except on the last night we stayed at the Hilton at the Airport. We will be back! The airport shuttle company to the airport is highly recommended. $28.50 for 2 people when it would cost double that via taxi. It is just called Airport Shuttle.

The medievel museum is a must-see to help you envision this interesting city as it was hundreds of years ago. This is a walker's city, it can be seen entirely on foot. Pane, Vino e San Daniele, a small casual restaurant (parties of two may have to share a table) on via Altabella has foods and wines (whites are most notable) of the Friulian region of Italy --- especially cheeses and cured meats (San Daniele is a ham specific to the region) and, in season, sauteed fresh porcini.

We had a great time in Rome and Florence. I recommend that travellers book tickets to popular sites and museums ahead of time to avoid long lines. We walked past a mile long line into the Vatican museum because we had prebooked a tour. The automatic ticket machines at the train stations were easy to use.

Visited all the main sites in Rome:
-Colosseum, Roman ruins, Piazza Venizia etc.
-Vatican City
-Spanish Steps
-Trevi Fountain
-Pantheon
Expect the Rome metro to be your main travel means. Daily passes cost 3.10 Euros with unlimited hop on/off.

Genoa is a great place to visit. Compact and therefore easy to see with a number of interesting sites both in town as well as on the periphery.

We had buffet dinner late in the evening. The atmoshere was gorgeous. The dolce was excellent.

Stayed at Holiday Inn Verona East - Verona, Italy.

The destination is wonderful, but we found the situation of the hotel a little disappointing as this was not in the nice part of the town. However, we were happy with the restaurants, shops, and all the sights we visited in the old town. We especially liked a trip to Sirmione on the lake Garda.

We were staying the night in Pisa as we had an early flight the next day.
The city is ideal for walking.
