Stayed at  Hyatt Regency Macau - Macau, Macau.
Try the Cafe Galo in Taipa Village for good Porto food.

S Weber 02 December 2001
Stayed at  Lisboa Hotel - Macau, Macau.
I took a city tour (about 6 hrs) that was booked through the hotel that was fun, informative and very interesting. The tour guide was very well informed. I visited other places using taxis and enjoyed myself very much. The restaurants served flavorful and eye appealing dishes.

Macau is a great HK-getaway for a short week-end. Restaurants to try are "Litoral" (in the "old dock area" of Macau) and "Fernando's" (on Coloane). Both offer fantastic Macanese / Portuguese food and the hospitality in both is top-notch. Beware taxis who seem to make a habit of going the "long way round" when traveling to a destination - it would appear that most drivers can't follow a map!!

R Chartrand 19 November 2001
Stayed at  Kingsway Hotel - Macau, Macau.
Macau is a place to go and experience the European flavour of Asia. Some good restaurants and interesting buildings. Saw the Macau.

D Gates 18 November 2001
Stayed at  Pousada de Sao Tiago - Macau, Macau.
We have lived in Hong Kong for a very long time and were only looking for a quiet get away week end. We love the African Chicken at Henri's just a short walk along the waterfront. No tours taken or places visited. Been there done that long ago!

J Fuchs 16 November 2001
Stayed at  Metropole Hotel Macau - Macau, Macau.
Everything in Macau is pretty close. The market 3 blocks behind the hotel is the best for any tourist-y things or souvenirs.

A Lewis 11 November 2001
Stayed at  Westin Resort Macau - Macau, Macau.
It's a very pleasant walk along the beach to Fernando's.

N Rickett 03 November 2001

Conveniently located.

Stayed at  Ritz Macau, Hotel - Macau, Macau.
Macau has so much to offer , main thing is to stroll in the old town , to get a feeling , then there are the museums , the Chinese temples the old cemeteries and the fort , for food most of the well known restaurants are up to expectation , should have chinese food for lunch and portuguese in the evenings , The Crazy Paris show is worth the detour !

L Sriyanonda 23 October 2001
Stayed at  Beverly Plaza Hotel - Macau, Macau.
There is no problem about the destination because the hotel provide the shuttle bus to the pier. The location of the hotel is quite OK-close to the biggest casino in Macau-Lisboa Hotel. The room size is big and comfortable but the interior is quite old. There is no hair dryer in the room-this must be improve.
