The restaurant I visited is famous in Macau and it is not cheap. I do not know how to write it in English but translated into West South seafood restaurant!

Macau is an interesting and easy place to visit. Just an hour from HK by ferry and it's really a different (albeit very small) world from Hong Kong; or any other place in Asia to which I have been. Interesting blend of European and Chinese cultures. Very interesting to walk around for a couple of days.

Macau is ok for one day. Quite disappointing otherwise and prices asked remain expensive for such a city. It almost claims the same prices and recognition as Monaco, while being still far far away from Monaco style, quality and standards.

Macau is easy to get around. Be careful that the cab drivers understand where you want to go, otherwise, they take you to the wrong place. Bring the name of your hotel with you. Go-Karts were especially fun!! THe Gardens were gorgeous.

Stayed at Mandarin Oriental Macau - Macau, Macau.

Great furniture shopping in the streets around the ruins of St Pauls. Prices include delivery to Hong Kong island but found bargaining much more difficult then here in HK.
Recommendation from concierge re: child friendly restaurant very disappointing. Menu at Vela Italiana & associated restaurants adult focussed and service very poor. We should have done a much more thorough review before we went. Hotel is a $15 taxi ride from the main shopping & sightseeing area and provides a shuttle bus to & from the ferry terminal.

Very beautiful and tidy city. Interesting Iberian and Chinese mix of buildings and culture.

Could not get a table at L Orcha restaurant, but found the Restaurant Littoral just along the way very good indeed.
Most of our time was spent doing very little and the Pousada is just the place to do it - no distractions!

Macau is a fascinating mixture between the Chinese and Southern European lifestyles. It is far more laid back and less crowded than Hong Kong. There are literally thousends of scooters cruising through town. This remainded me of Italy. I recommend everybody, who travel to Honk Kong, to spend at least one night in Macau.
