Drove around in a car.. JB isn't that big if you drive.

The Shopping Mall link to the hotel was very convenient. There's a eating place(evening time) just right outside the hotel. Can find good food there. Other shopping mall is just 5-10 mins cab ride from hotel.

The location of hotel is ideal. Near town yet far from crowd and with sea viewing. It is perfect.

The chief attraction of Johor Bahru is that it is a cheap destination for Singaporeans. Without any other attractions, this is something that is more important than it sounds.

There weren't enough recommendations provided as much as that given by the taxi driver that we took on the way to Angsana!

It was extremely easy to get around in JB in a taxi. Taxis were plentiful even though it was a weekend. And the fares are inexpensive.
Don't expect to find quality, branded stuff like clothes, shoes, bags etc in JB. The only item which makes JB a shopper's paradise is their extensive range of vcds, dvds and gaming software.

The hotel is very near to a big shopping mall that you can spend the whole day. Hence, the location is quite ideal for those who enjoy shopping.
