THE SUNWAY LAGOON AND SUNWAY PYRAMID MALL ARE WORTH VISITING.IN FACT, 'THE GIANT' SUPERMARKET THERE HAS BETTER DEALS THAN MOST SHOPPING MALLS IN KL CITY!

Bangsar is great- outdoor market, lots of cafes and bars. Bukit Bintang is the main shopping district- lively and lots to see. Traffic from Subang to KLCC is OK during non-peak times - 20min. During peak times, it is better to use a hotel limo (they have vested interests to make the trip faster) than a taxi, and may take 45-1hr+ to reach KLCC.

We chose Holiday Villa Subang because of its view by the lake, and it is convenient for our friends to visit us since it is located near all the highways, either driving from the capital city or the north or south of the country, and from the KLIA airport.

The most important of all, we were taking our wedding pictures by the park beside the hotel and holding a wedding ceremony in Kuala Lumpur. The park is a very scenic place through the wedding photo that we took, with the lake (which used to be a tin mining area) and green trees and jogging lanes constituted a well-structured background and created a romantic atmosphere. We also took pictures inside the hotel lobby, where one side of the wall and door provided the effect like a church, while the swimming pool with a lakie view also provide good effects for our photos.

Aside from the wedding, we also found that it is convenient for us to go shopping without the troubles of traffic congestions. We took a cab or sometimes shuttle bus to the KTM station, where we can shopping at the Subang Parade shopping complex, or went straight to KL using the train which took oply 30 minutes where every spot is within walking distance such as Central Market, KLCC.

The night time activity in Sunway Pyramid (which is nearby if taking a cab) is a great experience. There are movies theaters, kiosks, places like Starbuck and Coffee bean, disco, which are as great as those in KL city and in Bangsar. It seems that the whole city is alive when night time comes. We had a great time in Kuala Lumpur except for the traffic condition which may be the same problems faced in all megacities.

Tote a handy GPRS receiver with you. When the time comes to haggle with the cabbie, show him the total distance travelled - it works everytime! It's a good way to go back to places you've been to with the locals when you have to go this time alone - like for shopping, meeting someone, coming back to hammer through a deal, etc.

I still reckon the Avanti Restaurant at Sunway Lagoon is one of the best in KL. Ambience (singing waiters and chefs!) food (try the Lamb Rack!) and service are truly excellent.

There's only one airlinr company at Subang at the moment, Berjaya Air, and the sirport is totally empty. No coffee shops or restaurant is opened anymore.@They've shifted to someother place... So if you are using Subang Airport to go to Tioman ISland, make sure you get your drinking water and snacks beforehand!

Transportation: taxi or car only. Do not believe the scale on map offered by hotel. Just ask local people or hotel staff about your destination. e.g. How much does taxi cost from here to there, how long does it take.

Restaurant: Since we are local Malaysian food lovers, we had our yummy business in the food court of Summit Parade and Sunway Pyramid. Laksa, Ice Kacang only cost a few ringgits. Inexpensive but taste good!

Very good, because they are located just next to a golf course.

We enjoyed the Batu Caves very much as well as the twin towers and lovely park with beautiful mosque close by. We also enjoyed a visit to the Lake Gardens and found the Bird Park and Orchid Garden well worth a visit. The Central Market was enjoyable as well with excellent shopping and restaurants.

We travelled to Pangkor Island and enjoyed its quiet beauty and great beaches and snorkelling. Penang Island was also very interesting historically and architecturally as well as having great beaches.

We were very impressed with the transportation system in Malaysia. The road system is excellent and we enjoyed travelling with a variety of friendly people as we travelled by local bus, ferry, train, rickshaw and LRT.

We enjoyed our visit to your beautiful country and diversity of people and cultures all getting along together so well. Thank you for your hospitality!

Good mid-week, golf destination. I would not stay here if I was going to spend time in KL. Rooms are very nice. Good place to stay for a first night or last night. Restaurants were expensive and sushi bar looked horrendous.
