Stayed at  Los Portales - Cuzco (Cusco), Peru.
Cuzco is a nicer place than Lima to my opinion. It's easy to walk around the town and get authentic Peruvian food there. This is the best place to have Alpaca and Cuy (roasted small pig).

D Boserup 21 March 2005
Stayed at  Posada Del Inca Cuzco - Cuzco (Cusco), Peru.
We went into the Sacred Valley with a small tour run by SAS--well-managed and informative with an excellent guide. All other sightseeing, including Machu Picchu, Lake Titicaca, and Lima, we did entirely on our own. Also, we transferred to Los Ninos Hotel for 3 more nights in Cusco, one of the loveliest, cleanest, and friendliest small hotels we have ever seen. Rooms were large and bright, there was a little restaurant with a cozy fireplace, and the staff were terrific. And all for $33 a night--far less expensive than our first two nights at Sonesta Posada del Inca Cusco.

Make sure to go to Rosa Nautica in the Milaflores district for a great dining experience.

Stayed at  Miraflores Park Plaza - Lima, Peru.
RESTAURANTS IN LIMA: Las Brujas de Caciche, Av. Bolognesi, 460 La Rosa Nautica, On the beach (Miraflores).

Stayed at  Swissotel - Lima, Peru.
Car service provided by the hotel was good considering the destination such as Lima. Concierge service provided by the hotel is excellent. Would recommend travellers find out more about the safety of the city, Lima before travelling there.

R Wolf 24 May 2003
Stayed at  Presidente - Machu Picchu, Peru.
Machu Picchu was spectacular. Best views in the hemisphere.

J Goodwin 01 January 2003
Stayed at  Antigua - Lima, Peru.
Hotel needs to warn guests not to take valuables with them, including handbags.
