Barcelona has lots to see and do and plenty of ambience. Getting a little expensive at times but well worth a trip. Public transport fairly easy to use and people very friendly.

Stayed at Ciutat Mollet Del Valles, Hotel - Barcelona Vicinity, Spain.

Hotel is easy to find, not so far away of the center of the city, is only good reachable with the car, i didn't try with public transportation. We went to Barcelona for tourism, en we stayed in a very clean and confortable hotel surely not noisy.
