If you stay at this hotel then Resturant Bristol is good and cheap for Spanish food.
There is also McDonalds and KFC close by.

Stayed at Barcelo Hotel Nervion - Bilbao, Spain.

The hotel is in a perfect situation for us, on the river away from the bustle of the town, but only a few minutes walk from the shops and excellent facilities of Bilbao. We walked around the town, visited the Guggenheim Museam, walking back along the riverside promenade, not needing to take a taxi. We could not help noticeing how clean and tidy everywhere was; the buildings in good condition, the roads well maintained. It looks as if the town planners have got their formula right for decades, it really is a super city to visit. It has a very high percentage of faashionable residents too, there were a lot of people around the shops very well dressed and with very good manners too. The Basilica of Begona was lovely, and the whole area fascinating. The airport is a model too, very well designed, built and run.
We were looking forward to visiting Spain, but were overcome by the whole place and warmth of the people we met. A must to revisit.

Bilbao is a lively and interesting city. For me the Guggenheim was a disappointment - it's a great building, but filled with what to me is a lot of junk. Great tapas near the Nervion hotel towards the old town. Two very good restaurants visited - Baita and one in Calle Ledesma (no. 26 I think, can't remember the name). Both rated expensive in Spain but cheapish by British standards. Bilbao is a reasonably compact city - so as long as you can walk for up to half an hour, you will have no problems.
Good public buses make it easy to get to San Sebastian (1.5 hours), Vitoria (just over an hour). From Vitoria there are buses (about an hour) to take you to the delightful town of Laguardia, where you can visit Rioja bodegas.

Stayed at Alhambra Palace - Granada & Province, Spain.
|
Granada is a mystical place. What a wonderful city. The Alhambra is breathtaking. Not to be missed is the Mirador de San Nicolás which offers a beautiful view of the city and of the Alhambra. At night when the alhambra is lit the view from the Mirador is beautiful. At the Alhambra beware of the Gitanas that offer rosemary and offer to read your palm. They will do it and later demand more than 5 euros for it.

Stayed at Gran Hotel Lar - Seville & Province, Spain.
|
I have visited Seville approximately ten time in the past six years. During this time I have learned to love the city and hate the traffic.
A restaurant I would recommend is Mamma Mia's on Betis Ave. It serves a wide selection of Italian food as reasonable prices. The waiter's are always friendly.
