I travel with my partner by ourself. We bought our bus ticket at the local bus station and booked the room thru asia-hotels.com so that we will not end up in a red-light motel. Though it's our first time in Hat Yai, we still managed to tour the whole town and eat the local food there. It's a good place to visit and value for money. We only spend about USD200 per person for the 4D2N and enjoy almost all the food and bought some stuff back.

Only stayed the night over. We wanted to have our own private transport and it is better not to make deals on the street, for they don't keep their promises and ask for much more money than first agreed. Better to go to a travel agency.
