The destination is great for divers. I guess for non divers, the limited number of beaches would make Phuket a more attractive place but for diving, Phiphi is THE place especially Shark point. Preferred restaurant remains Lemon Grass. Prefered bar for a drink, the Appache further down the main road walking from the Pier.

Quiet island, with no cars or motorcycles. The main and central area of the island with all kind of restaurants and shops, all in a distance no more than a few hundreds of meters. The View Point peak must be visited in the sunset (350 stairs!!).

This part of phi phi where the holiday inn is in is the best part in my opinion, it's clean and far away from all the action. The hotel offers tours to other islands and you can also rent a longtail boat per hour.

The destination is cut off from Phuket. Becasue of the distance we missed one day at Pee Pee as the seas were too rough for the speed boat to get there.. After much indecision (after 1 hour underway) the boat returned back to Phuket and we left a day later...

We were in Thailand for 2 weeks and found we had too much heavy luggage to make the Phuket to Phi Phi boat and the return trip comfortable. Thought there were way too many people trying to get on and off the boats at the same time. Perhaps they could unload completely and clear the dock before more people try to get on. Next time we would seek another way to get there. We ate at many of the restaurants in the Town Center and they were all good. We like Mama Restos, Chilis, other Thai places. Loved the fruit shakes and Thia pancakes too. We liked renting kayaks and going to Monkey beach for snorkeling the most.

Great place to go and relax, but be prepared to pay a lot (more than Thai standards) if you want to go anywhere or do any activities.

In about 10 years, too much tourism may overcome the beautiful, pure environment.

Beautiful island with some fine snorkelling. The breakfast with the sharks tour was dissapointing (saw no sharks whatsoever). Phi phi island is well suited to those under 30. Ko Samui better for those around 30 years old.
Travelling time from Phuket airport to Phi Phi island is much longer than expected. Make sure you arrive at Phuket early morning to get the morning express boat to Phi Phi otherwise will take most of the day.
