I like Phuket town much more than Patong. Patong is the place only for tourists. Phuket town is the place you can observe how Thai people live everyday. And you can have a lot of cheap and delicious Thai food there!

Patong very lively on evenings. Sea canoe tour worthwhile doing. Booked tours outside of hotel because cheaper than doing through hotel.

This was our first trip to Phuket. We did take a shopping trip with the hotel's staff assistance and went out for dinner twice. This is a very hot time of the year in Phuket thus we spent most of our time at the beach.

As we only spent 1 day on Phuket we chose to remain at the resort rather than explore the island. The beach wasn't as beautiful as I had expected, though we had come from 4 days on Phi Phi Island.

Karon has a lovely beach and is much quieter than its neighbour Patong. Its position means that it is easy to get to Patong if you want to go there for nightlife. We took a day trip to Phi Phi island which is worth visiting.

I came for the pristine white sand beaches, the great tropical weather, the sparkling blue water, and a chance to just simply unwind. Totally satisfying experience.

Check out the food market on the back street, great value for money and the food was really good. The best way to explore the island is to have a motorbike (if you are up for it), 400-750 would be the right size. People in Phuket tend to have good driving manners, they don't "bully" you like most places. You will enjoy your freedom much more.

Continue to enjoy Phuket - my seventh time there. Patong is too crowded but the rest of the island is great.
