J Jere 18 April 2003
Stayed at  Kata Thani Hotel and Beach Resort - Phuket, Thailand.
Phuket is a great place to visit there are many things to do and many place that you can visit.

T Seed 13 April 2003
Stayed at  Andaman Cannacia Resort and Spa - Phuket, Thailand.
Long way from airport - paid 650 Bht - but it did take 50 mins. Taxis from the hotel were honest, reasonable and good drivers.

O Mertens 07 April 2003
Stayed at  Thara Patong Beach Resort, Phuket - Phuket, Thailand.
If you rent a motorbike or a car Patong are the best place on this island.

K Millar 05 April 2003
Stayed at  Duangjitt Resort - Phuket, Thailand.
Dive "The Junk" to the Similians!

S Irvine 31 March 2003
Stayed at  Hilton Phuket Arcadia Resort & Spa - Phuket, Thailand.
Karon beach is beautiful and was very quiet. Not sure how much this was due to depressed tourism during hostilities in Iraq however.

A Ponzi 21 March 2003
Stayed at  Tropical Garden Resort - Phuket, Thailand.
Kata is a dump, very sad.

C Gibson 20 March 2003
Stayed at  Thara Patong Beach Resort, Phuket - Phuket, Thailand.
All the tourist things and nightlife within walking distance of the hotel.

P Bell 20 March 2003
Stayed at  Palm Garden Resort - Phuket, Thailand.
The only restaurant visited was Baan Rim Pa in Patong. It was an excellent, food was superb, service was very attentive.

T Evans 19 March 2003
Stayed at  Tropical Garden Resort - Phuket, Thailand.
Kata beach is away from the hustle and bustle of Patong, but close enough to spend an enjoyable evening out and then catch a tuk-tuk back to the hotel. Kata beach is the best beach in Phuket (in my opinion).

Hiring a motorcycle is a great way to explore. A tour to James Bond island is also a neat way to see more of the surrounding area and Phang Nga bay is amazing.

C Trottier 11 March 2003
Stayed at  Royal Paradise Hotel - Phuket, Thailand.
Love the tours. A bit disappointed with Phi Phi Island tour because I can only view "The Beach - Leonardo de Caprio movie" from a distance (about 1 km away).

Restaurants are expensive for Canadian travellers in Phuket (compare to Bangkok) but it is still a good bargain for American and European. Lunch or dinner for two persons at Phuket in good restaurants cost the same as in Toronto, Canada.

Patong is lively. To other travellers - stay closer to the Patong beach for good restaurants and service. Most areas are just walking distance from my hotel. Go to Phuket Fantasea show. It's really amazing!
