T Shintaku 25 December 2004
Stayed at  Chiang Mai Orchid - Chiang Mai, Thailand.
I bought the Nancy Chandler map of Chiang Mai and found it to be very useful. It shows hotels, restaurants, and shops including descriptions of the Night Bazaar area.

F Beerens 24 December 2004
Stayed at  Central Village Hua Hin - Hua Hin, Thailand.
There are some excellent restaurants in Hua Hin and hotels serve excellent food at reasonable prices, such as the Hilton which has a Italian-Thai buffet for less than 600 baht. Hua Hin city is the usual mess and the main shopping street seems to have been built with the purpose of getting you to hospital. The small pieces of sidewalk are neck-breaking and if you walk on the road there is a fair chance you will get runover by a car or motorcycle. Just close that road in the evening! Is there any restaurant and retail organisation in this country to make such a drastic decision? Why do you guys have to make such a mess out of it? The nearby nightmarket is supposed to be for pedestrians, but motorcyclist nevetheless hold their races there.

There is nothing to visit around Hua Hin and renting a car for a day, which we did, is a waste of time and money. Go here to relax in one of the nice hotels and enjoy the food. The beach is average with parts covered by uncomfortable chairs and unhygienic looking restaurants, with galoping horses all over as a bonus. Its may be difficult to get around here without getting injured.

J Snowball 20 December 2004
Stayed at  Windsor Suites Hotel - Bangkok, Thailand.
Best meal was at Suda's on Soi 14. Food is really good, inexpensive and it's nice sitting outside but not with overwhelming traffic noise. We used the sky train which is efficient though not necessarily cheaper than a meter taxi (though sometimes quicker).

H Macewen 19 December 2004
Stayed at  Tarntawan Place - Bangkok, Thailand.
Recommend Samboom Seafood restaurant just a few minutes walk west on Suriwong. Hotel is just off famous Patpong area.

J Schorr 18 December 2004
Stayed at  Manhattan Hotel - Bangkok, Thailand.
Try the duck restaurant on the corner of Soi 15 and Sukhumvit Rd., classic old Bangkok.

J Medeiros 14 December 2004
Stayed at  Ambassador Hotel Bangkok - Bangkok, Thailand.
Recommended Thai restaurant: Baan Kanitha on Soi Ruam Rudee.

Y Poh leong christopher 13 December 2004
Stayed at  Novotel Central Sukhontha Hotel - Hat Yai, Thailand.
Should try the Garabuning SPA. Opposite of Diana Shopping Centre. Relaxing and Good atmosphere. Here Kui Seafood is also lovely.

N De rooij 06 December 2004
Stayed at  Majestic Suites - Bangkok, Thailand.
Good and nice restaurant in the street around the corner. Walk a few hundred meters beyond NANA plaza, then it is located on the right side. Good thai food. Visit to Ayutthaya by taxi with private driver by C.C Tours & Trans co. They will drive you to all the sights during the day for less money. Mobile 66-9-061-5274.

M Kendler 05 December 2004
Stayed at  Montien Hotel Bangkok - Bangkok, Thailand.
The Mango Tree Restaurant on the soi across from the Ramada Hotel was very good, and included live music and dancing.

J Mullet 02 December 2004
Stayed at  Rydges Amora Tapae Chiangmai Hotel - Chiang Mai, Thailand.
Recommended area restaurants: Good View and Riverside. Recommended tourist stops: Old City temples, Wat Doi Suthep, Maesa Elephant Camp, Doi Inthanon National Park. Personally I can't stand the night market where masses of people crowd through each other to gawk over cheap souvenirs on the dusty smoggy sidewalks, but it does seem to be a popular attraction for many.
