The airport bus A3 stops directly across the street from Majestic Suites. If you arrive very late and hungry as I did, there is a 24-hour Subway Sandwiches a few steps away.

Stayed at Jiva Resort and Spa - Phuket, Thailand.

Kata Beach is the most beautiful beach I've ever been to. Furthermore, Phuket is one the most beautiful destinations in the world.
I would also like to inform readers of this site to not be afraid to go to Phuket during the rainy season; especially if you can stay a long time. We did encounter rain two of the five days we were there, but I was told (by reliable sources) that this is a little unusual and that the two days before we had arrived had been beautiful. So that would have made it two out of seven days. That being said, be careful when going on boat excursions during this time. We went to Phi Phi and had to endure a pretty violent storm on our return boat trip to Phuket.
Lastly, I would like to mention that the only place to stay is at the Kata Beach Resort. We originally stayed at the Jiva, but checked out after the first night due to its distance from the beach. Fortunately, the Kata Beach Resort had rooms available and were we able to stay the remainder of our trip in a deluxe sea view room. This room was on the second floor and overlooked the pool and the beach. It was fabulous. Ironically, I did not originally book this hotel due to negative comments on this website. These comments may have been old since I was told the hotel was refurbished in September 2003. But, I found the hotel to be beautiful and the staff to be accomodating. I would rate this a 5 star hotel except, as a resort, I thought they would provide more activities and have things like snorkel gear readily available. As a result, I would rate it 4 and 1/2 stars.

Really great place for shopping especially Chatuchak weekend market. You can get really good bargains there compare with other places like Patpong night market or even shopping centres. If you are a shopaholic then Chatuchak is really THE ONLY place you can shop till you drop! Patpong market more for night entertainment. You can find lots of pubs & restaurants there. However if to shop prices are way more expensive than Chatuchak market. One tip can take note when you want to get around there. If you are not in the rush best transportation will be sky train. Is really clean & easy access to lots of locations. If you want to save time or lazy to walk so far. Taxi is best choice if you travel short distance. However if you are going long distance places, Tuk Tuk is definitely cheaper than Taxi. Take note if you taking Tuk Tuk don't forget to bargain.

Apart from the temples, the palace and the markets we can recommend a longtail boat through the channels of Thonbury.

Went for a 3 days shopping sphree. Recommend a restaurant named "Ole Ole" if you like spicky Tom Yum Soup. It just round the corner from Asia Hotel. Visited Boboe Tower (wholesale market for garment). Its cheap n good, but they normally sells three pieces and above. Bought men working pants for only 180 bahts per piece which is very cheap. Worth visiting.

Stayed at Sunset Beach Resort - Phuket, Thailand.

Patong offers a myriad of activity and interest to every walk of life. The food is good but bewarned in some places there are double standards on pricing to tourist. Try the local seafood behind Tiger Disco, it is superb and very reasonably priced. If you are game to watch Thai boxing, it is just a stone's throw away from these stalls.

Stayed at Emerald Garden Resort - Krabi, Thailand.
|
Recommended restaurants: Sala Bua Thai Cuisine (quite near the Emerald Green Resort), Ao Nang Cuisine (at Ao Nang beach).
There are plenty of tour agencies at the beach which will offer you packages to the various islands. Just ask around and compare prices.
I went to Tiger Cave Temple which offers you a beautiful view of Krabi, if you climb all the way to the top. The temple is situated at the top of a limestone "mountain". There are 1237 steep steps to the top which is about 7km above the ground. Yes, it's a tiring climb but the view is really great up there. Treat it as a workout session after all that pigging out on all the great Thai food!

Stayed at Radisson Hotel Bangkok - Bangkok, Thailand.

I was very pleased to see the low prices that were generally available for clothing, leather and ceramic items. The weekend Chatuchak market is a must, and I also went to the night market in Phatpong. Bargaining with vendors is a must in all markets and stores and final prices of less than half of the original were not uncommon. The MBK center and Fortune Town (close to the Radisson) were also good for shopping.

Stayed at Central Samui Beach Resort - Samui, Thailand.

Since we had two young boys, we only managed to go to the Aquarium and the Tiger show, which was okay. Food at "Poppies" was outstanding and we really enjoyed our evening at Zico's also. Some nice shops also for household stuff and jewellery.

Stayed at Hilton Hua Hin Resort And Spa - Hua Hin, Thailand.
|
Hua Hin is a seafood lover's paradise. Giant prawns the size of small lobsters, crabs and mollusks and fish - some swimming in tanks - beckon from the dozen or so jetty restaurants set on Hua Hin Beach but accessible from Naresdamri Road. Do ask for your choice of seafood to be cooked in the aromatic Thai-style
as they bring out the flavours best. But specify less "spicy" - the local term for chili-hot if required.
Work off your dinner excesses with a stroll through the lively Night Market just 10 leisurely minutes away down Dechanuchit Road. En route, you can also pick up a copy Tag Heuer for 400 baht, or order a custom tailored suit for 3000 baht.
Golfers will love being pampered by the lady caddies on the many resort courses. But don't leave Hua Hin without having a massage or three at the Royal Thai Spa opposite the Hilton. Did someone mention paradise?
