Small fishing town that can be seen in a day. Brother's cafe is an upscale restaurant with wonderful ambience with reasonable prices and excellent service.

Hoi An is a great destination but is becoming a bit touristy. The postcard selling children are very persistent and we saw one incident of aggressive behaviour from one of these sellers. We would recommend Des Amis and Yellow River restaurants - both have fantastic food that we didn't find in other parts of Vietnam (try the "white roses"). We took two tours with Seventeen Tour Company (across the road from Hoi An Hotel) and would recommend them. They offer inexpensive and well organised tours. The tour to My Son with boat return is highly recommended.

Boat tours are great. Can visit more remote destinations like My Lai from here. Popular for inexpensive custom-tailored clothing...but you get what you pay for, quality generally sub-standard.

Hoi An is a most charming town. The Market has a personality all its own. Much fun to visit. The old shop houses and family chapels were an insight into old Hoi An as a trading port and into how many residents still live today.
Individual boat trips are easy to arrange in town or at the hotel. Scenic rides to craft villages make a pleasant hour or two.
Restaurants are atmospheric and fun.

Loved Hoi An took trip to Danang and enjoyed. We found local guides helpful and prompt. As for Hoi An itself we walked everywhere by our-selves. Had clothes made at LyLy in marked and have only good things to say.

Hoi An is a lovely and picturesque town, but already quite a tourist place. It has become an integral part of the Vietnam backpacker route, so there's a lot of tourists there. But even that cannot spoil the charm of Hoi An.

Hoi An was our R & R spot during our second visit to Vietnam. Mainly walked around old town. Can recommend Mermaid Rest, LY 22 Cafe, Tam Tam Rest. Brothers Cafe is a brand new, upmarket restaurant on the river in the old French Quarter - recommended.

Hoi An is a wonderful destination and a visitor could easily spend a couple of days there and thoroughly enjoy themselves in the town and surroundings.

Very recommendable for getting clothing made.
Very cheap and the quality has been good.
Can recommend two little girls named
Mingh and Xin ( 14 and 10 years old - they are sisters) and I am sure they will find you.
They called me Mom, but are really good "tourist guides".
